The Stratosphere

We had originally planned to only stay 5 days... we ended up staying out 9 days on vacation.  So, since it was then the end of spring break, all of the hotels at vegas went on sale... for WAY cheap.  We got to treat ourselves to the stratosphere.  It was super cool.  Our last night of vacation was spent on the strip, and then Chantels Dad suprised us all by buying us tickets to see Circ De Sole.  That was absolutely amazing and breath taking.  Sadly though, they watch you like a hawk and demand that you take no photography or videos.  So I am sad to not have any of those.  But, it is such a great show, and I am so glad to have gotten to go. It really just is incredible.... and very hard to describe because there is so much.  When we finished at the show me and Amber decided to go up to the top of the Stratosphere.  It's crazy how high up it is, and it's even crazier the fact that they have RIDES you can do up there, they are all called "thrill seekers."  And they aren't kidding, the names say it all. I think the scariest/coolest one to do would be to bungee jump off of the stratosphere.  I would never in a million years do it, but if you had to pick one, I would do that one.  It was cool to look at Vegas from so high up, and just look at the lights and the city.  We went out for ice cream later to mcdonalds thats on the strip, and I would like it written down in the books that the city that never sleeps.... SLEEPS. The strip is DEAD after midnight.

It was such a fun vacation.  We did so much, but at the same time it felt like we didn't do enough! It was a well worth it and needed trip and I am glad we went. Now we are all back home, and gearing up our loins to join the real world again tomorrow by being thrown head first into school.  And then the work week will continue.  Happy Spring Break!!!

La Jolla Beach

We were really hoping for better weather then what we got on our beach days.  Our first day we went to La Jolla, and it wasnt ideal, but it was good enough to go and play.  We actually ended up getting in and swimming hard core for a good hour and a half. The other two days, I can't remember the names of the beaches, but it was rainy and cold and rainy and cold. I am glad we got at least one good day on the beach, despite the fact the sun wasn't out. Ambers grandma lives in Santa Maria, and so she is right by a few beaches, and I think we will go back in July when it's hot and hit up the 3 we wanted to again.  And probably hopefully have more success.
