"Harvard" It's the first one of the Von Curtis chain to be declared Paul MItchell. Winn also happens to be our "Principal" Denny's brother. He came and gave a GREAT motivational speech to all of us. He even picked me out of a crowd and said that just by my appearance, he would be willing to put me in a high end new york salon! Without even knowing anything about my skills! I about DIED! He really made me realize that anything is possible in this industry, as long as you have confidence in yourself. Confidence is usually something I lack to the EXTREME and replace with INSECURITY, but I"m working on it, especially after all of the confidence boosting he did that day at school. I had him sign the back of my cutting cards (which are all of our diagrahmming systems and different hair cut techniques you can do) because I feel like right now cutting is the best skill that has come second nature to me. I didn't want him to just sign his name, I wanted him to write something he felt was the most "inspiring and unique". Thus because the quote above.
On a Second note..... Here is my next latest hair change! It's kind of an on going story.... If you look back on the pictures taken of when I first cut my hair, you will notice that one side is uneven compared to the other. It's been driving me and ashley NUTS. So ashley has tried to keep evening it out as it grows. As for the color, my hair had been through a lot and had become this.... I guess naturalish looking brown. I wasn't in love with it and had been DYING to find a color I wanted. I knew I wanted to go darker, but I didn't know what. So our color specialist who is also our Phase 2 teacher at school was doing a basic all over color class and I asked to be her model and that she could do whatever she wanted as long as she went darker. Above is the result. I wish I could tell you the exact color it is, but she repigmented and did the color all in the same bowl so like 6 tubes of color were mixed in. It's basically DARK brown with hints of violet in it. I Love. The cut.... That story begins yesterday. And very "of the whim". I had been toying with the idea of bangs (because we all know when I do one thing... somethign else folows.) But didn't know if I wanted to go straight across, go drastic swoop, or keep it at the slight swoop it was. So I went to my teacher Brandon (who is one of our texture specialists) to see what he thought. He sat and thought about it, and since I was leaning more towards straight across bangs, his opinion was to give me a different cut, that would match the "edgy" bangs. And, he also, not quite so bluntly, mentioned that a different cut would help with the lacking in the cut I currently had. So, I said you can do whatever as long as you don't go to the EXTREME of short and I have my straight across bangs. He decided to not really go shorter, just to give it some more layers and some added texture, and as he likes to say "make my look like a high fashion hair stylist, which is what I need to be!" He also said that it will help building my clientele. I just think it's fun and a nice little change... Above is the result. I am still getting used to it... still trying to figure out which of the fifty billion ways to style it I like best... but everybody at school loves it, and I don't hate it, I am just having a hard time falling in love with it because it's SO different.
I also don't think you can make a good enough judgement off this picture as it isn't the most flattering or best one that could have been took...
quit doing things to your hair for two weeks , i dare you! this every other day stuff has gotta stop!
