At school today for our class time we did a fashion show. We had to create an outfit from newspaper, do hair, make up, and have our model ready in an hour and a half. Talk about INTENSE, but oh so much fun. My favorite part is taht Hillary got to be my groups model again. She was just born to do that. (she is the one from my first paul mitchell model post) A girl in my group was set on a "pirate glam" look, so that is what we did. Short in the front with a corset, long and flowy in the back.
For the hair we just pulled it back into 2 ponies, one on top of the other, ratted the CRAP out of it, and then threw in some real messy curls, teased them, and hair sprayed the heck out of it. Behold our finished product. Hillary, I envy you and your natural good looks. You should see the child when she claims she didn't "try" to get ready at all.
Heather, Becca (still not sure whats up with the yellow hoodie) Hillary, Giselle (yes giselle, like the disney movie) and me myself and I.
The other models and the final products. Cici, Hillary, Bessie, and Josh. Josh I think was my second favorite... He cracks me up. Bessie's dress was cool because it looks just like a pageant dress, and they even sprayed gold glitter onto hers. Cici was supposed to be a vegas show girl type person.... But I feel as if that didn't go over so well. Bessie got 1st, Hillary got 2nd, then Josh, then Cici. Our team got two golden tickets for winning 2nd. A golden ticket is where you can pick any two boxes on your worksheet to be signed off without you having to do them. So like, a color, or a perm, or shampoo set.... Anything you like they do for you!
This is the Creative Future Professionals. They go to class in the morning, where as we go in the afternoon, and they are closer to graduation, where we are... well... not so much. But I thought their dresses were kind of cool to look at as well.

Yesterday
Every fourth wednesday of the month I have a day off of school for Teacher Comp/Training. Yesterday, me, Ashley, and Mandy joined up for a day full of adventures and fun! We started at the Jiffy Lube, then DI, Target, Halloween City, Cafe Rio, America First, Hobby Lobby, Distribution Center, McDonalds, Savers, Walmart, the Dollar Store, Jessica's school, a road trip through Eagle Mountain, Mandys house, and the park. Whew, thats a lot when you look at it on paper... At the DI Ashley found this book to add to her halloween collection. There is a monkey on the front of it that Nathan became obssessed with. Ashley even made up a quick story about the monkey, but then soon regretted it as it had to be remembered and repeated the whole rest of the day. I even made some purchases at the DI, for my halloween costume! Which, if you don't know yet, is a character in Alice in Wonderland.... But that's your only hint!
Again, forgive the camera.... she was smiling and was a cute picture, but alas, here we are. But she had to come up here because I have a funny story about her. We're in one of the Halloween stores we went to, and we were looking at a piece of my costume figuring out if I should purchase it, or if we could replicate it by making it. In the previous store she wouldn't let me go because everything was scary, which it was because some of it scared me. But, in this store, all of a sudden we hear: look at the scary babies, they so funny, that's so silly! And much to our SHOCK and DISMAY there were babies up high on these creepy swings smiling and laughing. And she loved it. I love me some Molly, and she love her some Mare considering I can't be an arms length away when with her :)

Mandys Mad Cooking Skills (a post that is very Kristenesque)
ok, this picture sucks, and again, forgive my phone for not always producing the greatest quality, I was fooled and thought this picture turned out and was beautiful.... fooled being the key word there. ANYWAYS, whenever I go to Mandys house, I am graced by a lovely home cooked meal... and usually it's one I pick! Or one that I like at least.... So yesterday I requested whatever it was Frieda had at her house the night before, but apparently that was goolash and I claimed it as Ziti, but Ziti is WAY better and hit the exact spot.
Cooking is a very precise and intense sport when Mandy is involved....
At Mandys, we all sit together at the table, say a prayer, and then she gets everybody their own dish or plate! Talk about bringing back my childhood! LOVE IT! (have I mentioned how good the food is that she makes?)
Only one downside to dinner at Mandys.... the vegetables. Because you see, despite the fact that I am 21 and am FULLY CAPABLE of chosing whether or not I would like some vegetables, Mandy just trumps that and always makes me have some or try some. Not fair. But, I suppose for my own good. She did make me a broccoli fan, but last night we had squash, and that wasn't such a great hit, but looks pretty in the pan!
A meal is not a meal in my eyes if there is no bread, and no jello. But, I have come to terms that Jello is not necessarily a necessity at every meal, but the bread is. So we had us some garlic bread. And then I made Lemon bars! Ok, I STARTED the lemon squares, and then Eric finished them.

Ashley Crafts
After our outing yesterday we went to invade Mandys house, which, right now, is pretty much my favorite thing to do. And while there, Ashley decided it was time to bust out a craft, because, if you didn't know, all her halloween stuff got STOLLEN.
Try to figure out what it could possibly be that is vaguely halloween related by the following pictures....
Did you guess a twine pumpkin? Yeah, me either. LOL. However, by the end of the night it was looking a lot better... kind of a weird thing and a weird way to do it, but it seems to be working. Can't wait to see the finished product so that all of my doubts can be put to shame.

Burning of the CH!
BEFORE....
AFTER!
Good picture huh? I was impressed, mainly because my green camera has officially retired, and so my camera phone has been picking up the slack. Back to the burning....
This was a great year to go to homecoming, I'm SOO glad I went. The burning was AWESOME ( although I still don't think Nathan understands WHY we think it's fun to light a CH on fire...) and afterwards they had FIREWORKS! And not dinky, oh heres some bright lights in the sky for a split second, it was like a FULL BLOWN firework show! It was great! Happy Homecoming Copper Hills!
Class of '08 is Great!!!
(In class today, I learned how NOT to date me by putting the year I graduated... especially not on a resume... so I had to get it out of my system)

Copper Hills Homecoming Pep Rally!
As part of the homecoming tail gate party, a parade is involved. This year, Mandy, being the AMAZING Alumni she is, got all of us into the spirit and got all of us to participate. Lucky for me, she got busy doing something important, and so I got to get Nathan and Molly situated in the back of the truck for the "alumni float" which had all of the kids (and me) of the alumni in it. It was fun, and SO cute to watch all the little girls blow kisses at everyone and wave. The kids also had a blast throwing the candy... and probably had MORE fun eating the candy. I was very disappointed when the Alumni float didn't win.
In riding in this parade and seeing all of the chaos and all the other floats, I had a little bit of a sad moment missing my Kissy. Remember when we had to put together that Grinch Christmas float for ASL? And we had meat loaf and mashed potatoes and baked beans? and it was my first time having baked beans on my mashed potatoes (which was a one time thing ps) I had a little ache in my heart for the high school years!
After the parade we headed over for the "Pep Rally"! Which, I have to admit, was actually pretty good! I was STUNNED at how great the cheerleaders were! The dance team was lacking and drill was not quite on their A game, but the cheerleaders stole the show!
This is the drill team, I was real excited to see them, so I took a picture for you to say how great they were... but now I am wishing I had taken a picture of the cheerleaders since I only had a good story about them!

Free Hug Day!
On Wednesday it was Paul Mitchell the schools Free Hug day. It originated when some guy I guess was all alone in the world, something about not having any friends or family.... got off the plane... felt sad.. and started hugging people and changed his life.... and so now we have free hug day! We went to UVU ( and let me tell you they were THRILLED. not.) and the new core went to a Retirement home close by. We made fun signs and wore our paul mitchell shirts and went to spread the love! On the right is Lyndsey one of my Learning leaders (she teaches theory and is our cutting specialist) then there is Amber, Chantel, Becca is sitting down, and Taylor (who can't seem to figure out whether she is enrolled in school or isn't....
Most of the whole gang.... People of importance is the "older" lady to the right. Her name is Judy, and she is like one of the head haunchos at our school and is loud and hilarious.
Chantel and Amber
Becca and Taylor (told you becca was my good friend... note all of her picture appearances)
Heather! Wanting to give SOMEBODY a hug. I tell ya, those kids at UVU were a tough crowd. It's insane how many people bluntly say NO to a hug or just stay stiff. Talk about RUDE.
Darci and Tazia (pronouced tey zah)
This is Michelle and someone else.... The important person is Michelle lol. She is one of my learning leaders out on the floor as well. I wish I had a picture of Sarah... not yet, but soon to come, because she is my favorite and is hilarious and is everything I wish to be in life!
More hugs... and a picture of Cocoas head. I have to tell just a QUICK story about Cocoa. So she is on the caper team with me (more of that to come) and on Thursday we spent ALL DAY LONG up in the little attic of our school which is like four feet wide and four feet tall, packing and unpacking boxes and organizing products and bags, and towards the end of the day Cocoa was all, "I am hot and my afro is flat!" It was really funny because when we came down from the attic, it really was like she had a flat top. Maybe you had to be there... but I am laughing as I think about it now.

Happy Birthday UVU!
It was UVU's Birthday on Wednesday, and we were going there for our annual "free hug day" and so we got to have free cake and ice cream! I made Hillary, Heather, ME, and Hayley all stand by the UVU birthday cake. They love that I am a picture taker. At this time I would like you all to notice the jeans mandy found me at TJ maxx and ooh and aahh and how good they look. Now lets all give a round of applause to Mandy for finding them! Happy Birthday UVU!
New Friends, Old Friends, I love ALL friends!
Rebecca (Becca), ME, and Hayley. Hayley took this picture in theory one day to send to her cute husband josh ( I mean cute as in, nice, not as in oh I think he's cute) to show him that yes she was in fact awake during theory. These two are fun to hang out with. Rebecca is THE BEST COOK EVER. We have had 2 meals at her house, lasagna was one, and then she made this chicken cord on bleu sandwiches that were honestly TO DIE FOR. She also rocks at any kind of braid, and is truthfully the sweetest honest cutest person I have ever met.
The UP House
A couple weekends ago the 3 C's treated me to the UP house on our way to IKEA. I have secretly been dying to see the UP house, so when I was told we were close and should we see it, I did not hesitate to say YES PLEASE. It's so fun and cute. Slight disappointment that we couldn't go inside, but I am still satisfied just having my picture taken by it. I honestly, if I had the money, would buy this house. And keep it just how it is. Maybe when my future husband reads this he will get the hint that THIS IS WHAT MY HOUSE NEEDS TO LOOK LIKE!!! Because it doesn't get anymore fun than this.
